My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sparky is a tiny, spirited Chihuahua-Terrier mix who’s full of personality and charm! Despite his small size, his playful energy fills the room. Sparky loves bounding around with his toys, chasing anything that moves, and occasionally pouncing on your toes if you’re not quick enough!

One of Sparky’s favorite places in the world is your lap. He adores snuggling close after a good play session, his little tail wagging as he settles in for some cuddles and attention. It’s in these moments that you can see his affectionate side shine as he gazes up at you with those sweet puppy eyes.

Sparky is also making great progress in being housebroken. While he’s still learning, his determination and eagerness to please make the process a little easier. With consistency and patience, he’s sure to master this skill in no time.

Another wonderful thing about Sparky is how well he gets along with other dogs. He’s a social little pup, happy to romp and wrestle

Additional adoption info

Adoption fee range from $150-250 for dogs and $90-125 for cats and each animal is altered, microchipped and current on all vaccinations. You will be required to complete an application for your selected pet. You can do so at www.saverescue.org/adoptionapplication. Processing may take up to 3 days. The application will include previous pet experience and vet info, how you will house your new pet and a little about your lifestyle so that we can be sure your pet will mesh with your family's activity level. We want you to have a permanent family member so we will take great care to assure that you find a suitable companion.

S.A.V.E. Rescue Coalition works to promote adoption through new adoption events, more public exposure of pets for adoption, and help the public make a good match with an adoptable animal.
Rescue groups work very hard to save animals every day, often using their own money, sacrificing time with family etc. We have animals from shelters and the streets of Houston that are now adoptable pets and we area helping these animals find permanent, loving homes.
We are all volunteer and no funds are spent for salaries, benefits etc. All money goes directly to the rescue group or their animals.
