A24184 Wayne is a brown colored, approximately 10 to 12-month-old, 41-pound, neutered male, German Shepherd.
He entered the shelter as a stray on 12-09-2024 and was altered by our medical staff.
Wayne is a friendly, happy and easy to handle boy here at the shelter. Our staff says he is still a puppy and loves everyone. He is happy to see you at his kennel door and loves to be out with people. He was easy to leash and did pretty well, nervous with all the noise walking through the kennels and need a little encouragement to keep going. He will need some training to be his best family member, as every puppy does. He needs a family willing to love and train him to be his best. He has a friendly interest in other dogs here at the shelter. Wayne will be a fun-loving family member in his new forever home.

Meet and greets with your family dog and shelter dog is encouraged. Dog and cat meet and greets are not allowed.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
