My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
This pet was brought in by our Humane Law Enforcement team.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Galaxy is a beautiful white male cat with the gorgeous blue eyes that are both soft and penetrating. Galaxy usually meets visitors at his kennel door and sniff their hand to say it would be nice to be gently petted. Sometimes he really likes chin and cheek rubs and other times he prefers gentle head pets. He is a good communicator so will show you what he wants and when he wants it. He is a purrier and in his new home, he will likely want to spend lots of time purring and sleeping in his person's lap. He always enjoys eating treat food from people's fingers. When finished, he buries his head in their hand as if to say thank you. As we said, he is a good communicator. If you are interested in having a white cat with gorgeous blue eyes in your family, contact us at the information below.

At SDHS:
To meet Galaxy, call us at 619 299 7012 or email us at sdcadoptions@sdhumane.org. Leave a good call back number so we can contact you and arrange for you and Galaxy to meet. We hope it works out for both of you.

Galaxy has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. Galaxy is now ready for their new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
