My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone, my name is Miffy, and I am so happy to finally be safe and sound. I was rescued along with almost 25 other buns from a backyard breeder who was not taking very good care of us and then sadly passed away. The other family members had no interest in proceeding with breeding or caring for us so rescue placement needed to be found.

I was quite a mess when I arrived because I had either never been groomed or not groomed in a long time because you could not even see my face and I was severely matted. Thankfully that was one of the first things that was done upon arrival. I had a mani/pedi and a serious grooming. I was not really a fan as it scared me, but wow do I feel better. Then it was off to the vet for a once over and getting spayed. I did great and now I am a happy and healthy bun. My coat looks a little crazy right now because of how badly I was previously matted but that's just looks and as my new fur grows in. As long as I receive proper grooming moving forward, I should never look the way I did before.

I LOVE food and I am eating a proper diet of Oxbow Adult Timothy Pellets, lots of timothy hay and a big bowl of fresh water. So far, I love romaine, parsley, carrot tops, dandelion greens and I am a big fan of bananas. My foster mom only allows me a small piece, but I like to bat my lashes at her and beg for just a little bit more.

I may be a great bonding candidate for any neutered males searching for a friend as I am super friendly and love to run and play. I have excellent litterbox habits and just am a sweet and friendly bun.

Please note I am a giant angora and weigh 9 lbs and my coat does need a lot of upkeep so please keep that in mind. I do love giving nose bonks especially if I see or smell food in your hand.

Would you consider giving a beautiful girl like me a home?

More about this rescue

After fostering for over 20 years I decided it was time to open my own rescue. Bunnies are intelligent caring sensitive creatures who blossom in the right environment. They have much more spunk and personality than most people realize . You will be a convert once you have the chance to experience first hand how wonderful a compainon they can be.
