*Rescue Story: He had been wondering around the park with his brother and thankfully a good Samaritan rescued both. Later on, the rescuer was able to locate their owner but it turned out to be the owner abandoned them in the park purposely. We assume that Chapsal and his brother used to be chained up in the backyard getting no love or care from the owner. His ankle was fractured when he was found.
*Personality: Chapsal is a sweetheart you will fall in love with at first sight. He is very people friendly and loves snuggling but he could be little shy in the beginning. If you are looking for the best lap dog ever he’s it. It’s advised to keep him from jumping he likes using steps or ramps for furniture, and give an extra caution when he uses the stairs. Joint supplements is recommended as well.

Every rescue dog is examined by a veterinarian, neutered or spayed if intact, vaccines provided, a microchip inserted, and dental care provided, if needed. All Maltese Rescue dogs are provided loving care in preapproved foster homes to help the rescue dog with socialization and training.
When a rescue Maltese is ready adoption, each dog is listed on www.petfinder.com and www.adopt-a-pet.com
Prospective adoptive persons are required to submit an adoption application, undergo a personal interview, supply references, and complete a home evaluation to determine if the home provides a safe environment for a Maltese prior to approving an adoption.
An adoption fee is paid at the time of adoption. Adoption fees and donations are the sole financial source for payment of medical care for all of our rescue dogs.
