Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Johnny and June came to us when they wandered up to a Good Samaritan in Union City, TN. She couldn't let them freeze in the cold weather at night, so the Good Samaritan brought these precious beagle babies home with her in an effort to find out where they came from. Johnny and June stayed with her for a while and when no owners came forth to claim them, we stepped in to get them the vet care and forever homes they need and deserve for the holidays and all their years to come.
We believe that Johnny is between 3-4 years old and this boy is a true hound as far as personality goes! Johnny is described by his foster mom as being "a typical Beagle, as he's very laid back, loving, soooo sweet, and calm". He is currently living in a foster home with two other dogs and they all get along extremely well. During his time with June, he also got along well with the female dogs he has met. Johnny does love to run around the yard with his canine foster sibling and likes to dig in the backyard. Like all beagles/hunting breeds or dogs, Johnny will need to be supervised when outside to keep his well-developed nose from getting him into mischief. He is extremely food motivated and will do just about anything for a snack, haha.
Johnny walks great on a leash and harness and is potty-trained. He will be neutered on December 16th and then will be ready to find his forever home! Johnny will be up to date on all vaccinations, microchipped, neutered, and will have received heartworm treatment (if heartworm positive) when adopted.

A home check may be performed when taking the pet home. This is up to the discretion of the rescue founder and may be performed upon her decision. This step will ensure our animals are going into the best possible homes and will never be treated as less than a best friend and companion ever again. We are dedicated to the best possible fit for each animal that comes into our care.

We are 100% foster and volunteer run. Therefore, the first step in meeting one of our adoptable pets will be to submit an adoption application by following the link posted above to either our website or directly to our adoption application. Once an adoption application has been approved, we can set up a meet and greet with the applicant and the animal the applicant is interested in. Please allow 24-72 business hours to receive an answer back about your application, as all of our volunteers and fosters have additional jobs outside of the rescue and use their spare time to provide care to these animals in our program.
Adoption events can also be found posted on our Facebook and Instagram pages located under the name "Happy Tails Canine Rescue". These events are open to the public and do not require an adoption application in advance to meet any of our pets that will be attending.
