My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please contact Connie Kiggins (conniek@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.sweet small baby seeking forever!

JUKI NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name:  Juki         Best Guess for Breed: Terrier mix, some Chi in there

Best Guess for Age:   2.5 months as of 12/5/24          SEX:    Female

Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!):     4 lbs as of 12/8/24

Gets Along With:        Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training.

Currently Living at: DC area foster home

Special Adoption Considerations: Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy.

Juki is Looking For:   Her forever home! This sweet baby came all the way from Puerto Rico to get her own family. Right now what she wants is lots of snuggles, lots of play time, and then more cuddles and deep naps on warm laps! Soon she'll be ready to explore the neighborhood - the local parks - the world! Puppy school would be great too, so she can learn to be the goodest girl.

What she wants most of all is to grow up as a well-loved family pet, to explore the world by the side of her humans, and to always be under her own roof, safe and loved. What do you say? Is Juki the one for your home and your heart?

What My Foster Says About Me: coming soon!

Puppy Vetting Requirements:        Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be “fully” vaccinated. It is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.

Due to this puppy’s young age, she/he has not yet been spayed or neutered.  As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than March 21, 2024. There are NO EXCEPTIONS and NO EXTENSIONS to this date. A non-refundable spay/neuter deposit will be collected if you would like Lucky Dog to pay for this animal to be spayed/neutered at one of our low cost partner vets.

Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!

TO ADOPT:       The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online bit.ly/adoptaluckydog

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!

Go meet their pets

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at www.luckydoganimalrescue.org.
