Meet Walker! Walker is a special boy who truly deserves a special home. This 2-year-old Boerboel mix spent months as a stray before being rescued, and while it took time to earn his trust, we think he`s finally ready to find his forever family. Walker is initially shy and timid around new people, so he’ll thrive in a calm, quiet home where he can settle in at his own pace.
As he continues to build his confidence, Walker will need a patient and understanding family who is committed to helping him grow and form a strong bond. Once he’s comfortable, he’s an incredibly goofy, gentle, and loving companion.
Walker would do best in a home with at least one other dog, as they help him feel secure and he loves to play with them. A fenced-in yard is also a must, so he has space to explore and enjoy himself. Children in the home should be calm, respectful, and 12 or older. Walker would thrive in a smaller household where he can receive the attention he needs. He has formed strong bonds with several of our staff and volunteers, and with time and patience, he will build a wonderful connection with his new family. Do you think you could be that special home for Walker?

Any dog that is younger than 1 year old is considered a puppy. They come with age-appropriate vaccines, are dewormed, microchipped, on heartworm preventative, and if age allows spay/neutered. If they are not old enough to have the procedure done, we do require a $100 deposit which is refunded once the surgery is done. We require the spay/neuter to be done at 6 months and can schedule it at one of our vets if you wish to not use your own vet. If you do decide to go to your own vet, once proof of procedure is done, a refund can be issued. Puppy adoption fees are $350 + $100 refundable deposit.
