My name is Brutus, and I am eight years old. I recently lost my mom, so I am looking for a new home. I have been neutered and am current on all my shots and am heartworm negative. I am on monthly heartworm and flea preventative (Simparica Trio). I am allergic to chicken, but I do very well on lamb based dry dog food. I love to be outside, go for walks, play with my stuffed babies and I am just as happy hanging out on the couch with you. I am not crazy about cats, so I would rather not live with them. I am very smart and easily directed and I am kennel trained but not destructive if given the run of the house. I am basically a happy go lucky kind of guy so if you are looking for the perfect family companion, that’s ME!!
Our transport heads to the north east every week. RescueVet transport goes all the way up to Rhode Island, delivering fur friends to their forever homes. Transport fee is an additional $185.00. Our adoption process starts right here – you finding yourself your new best friend and family member. Once you have found one of these beautiful souls we ask that you complete an adoption application.
Once the application has been approved, the selection process begins. As with any adoption, we want to ensure our dogs are going into the best fit home – not only for them, but for you as well. Pet adoption is a big commitment and we want to make sure these dogs don’t endure anymore hardships than they already have.
The final step in the adoption process is the spay/neuter contract (assuming the puppy is too young or unable to be spayed or neutered at the time of adoption).
Once the adoption process has been finalized, we will make reservations for transport to your area. **Please note: Most of our dogs are fostered in Memphis, TN - our transport runs about once a week to Massachusetts.**

We are a rescue based out of Memphis, Tennessee with fosters and chapters in various parts of the United States. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home as many homeless pets in the mid south as we possibly can. To save them from euthanasia. Their only fault...there are just too many. The euthanasia rate in this city is a staggering 79%. We watch perfectly healthy, well adjusted pets be euthanized daily because there simply are not enough homes for them all. The solution...stronger spay/neuter laws and education but until then , these pets deserve a future too!
