My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gus, an extremely loving and charming boy who was found near Temple University (he had just finished his Bachelor's of Arts in Mischief Studies). He is an affectionate little guy who loves to cuddle and lounge, but don't let him fool you; he also has a playful side! He might look dapper in his bowtie, but he's a silly little fella who loves jumping around, exploring, and capturing his prey (his wand toy, of course!). This handsome boy is looking for a forever home with someone who can give him all the love and attention he deserves!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

When you adopt an animal, you’re not just saving the life of the animal you adopted. You’re also opening up space for the next animal in need. Our goal at the Morris Animal Refuge is to approach the adoption process holistically to make the best matches for our adopters and for our animals.

We are no longer requiring appointments or pre-approvals to adopt! Visit our shelter (1242 Lombard St) or PetSmart Adoption Center (2360 Oregon Ave.) during the following hours to adopt your new best friend. We will process your information at the time of adoption and in most cases your animal can go home with you on the same day.

Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday: 11-4
Wednesday: 11-7

2360 Oregon Ave. Adoption Hours*
