Tater is the kind of dog who steals hearts with his adorable white coat dotted with sweet brown speckles, it's hard to not take a second look! His big, pointy ears are always perked up, ready to catch every sound of excitement around him—especially if it involves the promise of cheese! This charming little guy is playful, sweet and gives the best cuddles. He loves food and will happily sit in exchange for a piece of cheese (it's his absolute favorite). He’s also the type of dog who’ll shower you with affection when you're giving him that extra bit of love. He can't wait to snuggle up and get cozy! His playful spirit and gentle nature make him a joy to have around, and once you meet him, you’ll be hooked on his sweetness!

If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold any pets. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants.

The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.

We are dedicated to being a true no-kill rescue. This means we will only euthanize for terminal illness or irreversible suffering. We are committed to saving as many lives as we can, while also providing the best possible environment for the pets in our care.
