My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VT
Good with dogs: Yes
Good with cats: Unknown, likely no
Good with kids: Yes, dog-savvy children
Crate trained: Yes
House Trained: Yes

Otto is a beautiful boy with a sweet, playful spirit! He is a medium energy dog who is hoping for a family who wants to include him in all the fun! He’s happy to attend weeknight soccer practice, movie nights, brewery weekends and all the adventures in between.

Otto is currently fostered in a multidog household and loves playing with other dogs. He takes other dogs cues well, and entertains himself with toys when his doggy friends are all done playing. With his playful nature he would likely not be a great fit for cats. He has a larger-than-life personality, loves everyone, and wants everyone to love him back. The word “stranger” isn’t in Otto’s vocabulary as he makes friends everywhere he goes. Otto has done wonderfully meeting children; he sometimes forgets his size, so dog-savvy children would be best for him.

He’s super sharp, conquering new skills with lightning speed, he has already mastered sit and walks like a champ on leash. Otto is fully house and crate trained. He sleeps soundly in his crate overnight and can be crated throughout the day. He is looking for a loving family to continue to teach him new tricks and give him a whole lot of love. Otto would make a wonderful companion, and can’t wait to be part of a family.

If you’re looking for an insanely good-looking dog with loads of potential, choose Otto!

More about this rescue

Our mission at Last Hope K9 Rescue is to save every possible dog we can from being euthanized within high-volume kill shelters throughout the U.S.

As the literal “last hope” of nearly every animal we serve, we work tirelessly to place each one within a stable, loving environment that can act as either their forever home, or the gateway to their forever home. We also strive to ensure that all of our adoptions and foster placements are the optimal fit for everyone involved, including our dogs. This leads to our second goal: enriching human lives through canine companionship. To us, you can’t have one without the other.

Lastly, we promote animal welfare by lobbying important initiatives that both protect and give voice to the voiceless. By fostering an environment of collaboration with other organizations that share our goals, and working together instead of in competition, we find that we accomplish more.
