My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We call Chubby, Mocha Mousse. She is a beautiful petite French Bulldog that came to us with only one eye. This is nothing that stands in her way. She is a bit nervous right now, but in two days that she’s been here, she’s already more open to more human interaction.
She gets along with all of our dogs.
Chubby/Mocha Mousse is all vetted up now! She has now been spayed.
Her beautiful smile and loving attitude will win you over.
We are in the early stages of learning to go potty outside….. it’s a bit cold and snowy outside…different than Mexico!
She loves to be held and snuggle in with her humans and other pups.
If you have a desire to love a little Frenchie that truly NEEDS love, Chubby/Mocha Mousse may be you next best friend.
She would love another dog to hang out with that can teach her to play.

Home Check

Home visits are being done virtually due to Covid.

Meet the Pet

The majority of our dogs are in foster homes along the front range. Fosters will contact you to schedule a meeting with you and your dog.

Sign Adoption Contract

Contracts will be signed through your AnimalsFirst account. Please have your login information prior to meeting the dog.

5.
Pay Fee

Payment will be made through your AnimalsFirst account. Please have your login information prior to meeting the dog.

6.
Take the Pet Home

Don't forget an adoption picture! We like to post adoption pictures to our Facebook and Instagram pages.

Go meet their pets

Over 75% of our dogs are in foster homes along the front range. The foster will get in touch to schedule meetings for their foster dog. Meetings will happen in/near their homes since that is where the dog is the most comfortable. We do want you to bring family members (human and dog) to the meeting! Dogs who are currently at our Windsor facility will have meetings there and a volunteer will reach out to schedule those meetings with you. Please be aware that we do not place our dogs on a first come, first served basis, but rather a best-fit placement. Never fear, applications are valid for a year so if the first dog you meet isn't a good fit, we will have plenty of time to find one that is.

We are an all breed, 501(c)3 non-profit, dog rescue located in Windsor, CO dedicated to helping dogs in need! While our hearts lie with the giant breeds, our mission is to save any dog from death, illness, and misfortune regardless of their size, age, breed, or health status.
