Meet the Pet
This helps New Leash on Life Dog Rescue with pet care costs.
Tucker is a 5 year old boy who finds himself looking for a furever home. He’s a small to medium boy at around 30lbs. He was recently diagnosed with a seizure disorder and is still adjusting to his meds. This was fairly new diagnosis so we are still learning about it but he will likely require meds for most or all of his life.
Tucker is a sweet lovable boy who enjoys a good cuddle session while also active and playful. He hasn’t met a person he doesn’t like! He is good with other doggie friends as well but will need proper introductions as he is still learning how doggie play works. He would also be fine as an only dog. We were told he was good with cats as well but he has not been around any since coming into the rescue.
Tucker can have a strong independent nature and would benefit from a confident leader to continue helping him learn. He hasn’t had training previously but is food motivated and doing great in his foster home!
He has plenty of energy so will need plenty of exercise so a fenced yard to run about may be best for him (but not required if there’s a good alternative) after all he was tied outside the camper for most of his life . Tucker is getting very good with walking on a leash especially after he is done doing his business first. He will walk right at your heal.
He enjoys to spend time outside sniffing around and likes watching out the window with curiosity. Tucker is also crate trained!
Tucker was just neutered and does have a tendency to mark so he wears a belly wrap right now. With consistent corrections and routine potty breaks he is doing better every day.
If you’re interested in adopting Tucker (and are preapproved) you can private message us or APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com
**Tucker’s $200 adoption fee includes his neuter, vaccines to date, current vet check, heart worm test, and microchip.
