Nala is a beautiful, happy Dutch Shepherd who is great with other dogs and friendly with people. She has spent the last two years on a working ranch after her mom suddenly passed away and a kind lady took her in so she wouldn't end up in the local high risk shelter. The woman who saved her has tried to find a forever family for her, but in North Dakota's rural ranching there is not a lot of interest in Dutch Shepherds and Belgian Malinois, so she asked MAD to find this sweet girl her forever home.
Nala walks well on a leash and knows sit, down and has good recall. She is crate trained and loves to hang out on the couch and cuddle. While treated with great kindness and love, Nala has not received the exercise, stimulation and play time that she needs to thrive. Running a large ranch does not leave the woman who saved her any time to meet Nala's needs beyond the basics of food, shelter and affection. Nala will thrive with an owner who has the time to provide her with toys, balls, training and stiumlation to bring out her full potential.
Nala was purchased from a breeder by her original owner, and has a solid understanding of basic obedience. She is crate trained and loves a good couch!

We are an official 501c3 organization that does not have a physical location. Our home address is in Michigan, however, the majority of our dogs are not located in Michigan. The physical location of each our our dogs is posted with the name of the pet or in the title area. If you are within 4 hours of the pet, please be prepared to pick the pet up. We do provide transport assistance up to 350 miles. The applicant must drive the remainder of the distance of the transport.
