Meet. Spanky Doodle Chill puppy and a little lazy!
This sweet boy came into my care around the middle of October. There was a few of them that came and he was the shyest one of the bunch.
He was shut down and backwards and hid from people. I do not believe he was abused but he was just ignored and never paid any attention to.
His spirit was broken and it broke my heart.
October 15 he was neutered vet checked vaccinated etc and was 16 lbs
Because I felt very sorry for this boy and came to the conclusion he was just not ready for adoption yet he stayed here. We worked with him, got him used to people and etc. He finally stopped hiding and started to play with other dogs which he enjoyed.
About the time he was ready for a new home he had discovered the comfort of the couch. That made me smile.
Until….. I walked in one morning and he was limping and not using his back right leg. I have no idea what happened but my guess is he took a leap off the couch and landed wrong. I will never know for sure
11/20/24. Another 5 way vaccine, 22 lbs and ex rays done
I took him to the vet and we started with x rays which you will get copies of. Thank god nothing was broke or fractured.
The vet wrote up right knee laxity in stifle and suspected acl tear but he is too young for that. See medical notes in pic. Radiographs normal. He put him on 2 weeks of a med called deramaxx. He has finished that med and is now using that leg but gingerly. He just needs more time to heal. Leg is down in a normal position just tip toes a little but 100% better than what it was
