My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Marshmallow was brought in by a previous owner on 11/20/24.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Marshmallow! Marshmallow is an energetic and spirited companion who thrives in an environment that can match his zest for life. Marshmallow may appear reserved with new people, but once he warms up, his affectionate nature shines through. He thrives in calm environments and would do best in a home with older children or adults who can respect his space and provide him with the patience and understanding he needs to blossom. Marshmallow is an active boy who enjoys outdoor adventures and playtime. Marshmallow would thrive in a household that can provide him with plenty of physical and mental stimulation. He loves to be on the go and would enjoy activities like jogging or hiking. However, it's important to note that Marshmallow isn't just all about physical exercise; he's also a clever pup who will benefit greatly from mental enrichment activities such as puzzle toys and interactive games to keep his sharp mind engaged. Come and learn more about Marshmallow today - don't forget to bring a leash and collar!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
