If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit our website at www.Twyla.org
Lexi is a 1-yr-old GORGEOUS Irish Wolfhound/ English Mastiff mix who was rescued from a neglectful situation. Lexi is extra large at 93 lbs and likely not yet done growing, so a handler who is can manage this is required. Despite her size, Lexi is convinced she is a lap dog. She loves walks, car rides, and being loved on. She’s shy at first, but once she gets to know and trust you, she won’t leave your side or your lap. As she is tall and strong, a sturdy fence is required to keep her safe. She has a very sweet disposition, she gets along well with the fosters family, other dogs(large and small), & intrigued /curious by cats. She is being leash trained and knows commands like sit, lay down, and crate/house trained. She loves stuffed toys and all treats (very food driven).
Lexie is looking for a home with another dog for her to play with and to learn from, she’d be best in a house with an experienced handler that can take her on walks daily. She is a little shy and reserved when she first meets new people, so an experienced, patient and kind handler is essential, as is a sturdy fence.
***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application on our website (http://www.twyla.org/adopt/our-adoption-process) so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet (as listed on our website: (http://www.twyla.org/upcoming-events), as not all dogs attend all Meet and Greets***
