My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Nobody can fully understand the meaning of love unless he's owned a dog." This makes us think of Argus, who has so much love to give his new family.

Why we love him: Argus is so sweet and well mannered.

Argus is such a gentle, tenderhearted young dog. He is one year old and weighs 38 pounds. If you want to adopt a medium sized companion, he could be the one!

He is a well mannered, easygoing companion on daily walks and truly enjoys your company. Argus also enjoys playing and exploring in the fenced yard.

He is a great cuddle buddy who adores attention and affection. We love sitting with him for lots of quality cuddle time - he is a delightful companion.

Argus is a bright dog who wants to please and should master any commands you wish to teach him.

More about this shelter

Cheatham County Animal Control is committed to finding good homes for the animals that come into the shelter system. We work with rescues and adopters. We are a no kill shelter but we rely on people coming in to adopt!

All of our cats/dogs receive vaccinations that are appropriate for the age and health when they are at animal control. We also spay and neuter all of our animals. The adopter is responsible for all vaccinations and medical care after adoption.
