My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Petting and cuddling a dog is good for the soul." This makes us think of our adorable Dutch!

Why we love him: Dutch loves being around people and is so sweet!

Looking for a small dog? Dutch could be the one! He is five years old and weighs 23 pounds.

Dutch is a delightful, congenial companion on daily walks and has so much fun exploring the trails on our beautiful grounds. He also enjoys play time in the fenced yard.

Most of all, Dutch is an affectionate and loving little dog who is a favorite cuddle buddy! He has so much love to give the family lucky enough to take him home.

He is a gentle, good natured and friendly little dog who will be such a wonderful companion!

More about this shelter

Cheatham County Animal Control is committed to finding good homes for the animals that come into the shelter system. We work with rescues and adopters. We are a no kill shelter but we rely on people coming in to adopt!

All of our cats/dogs receive vaccinations that are appropriate for the age and health when they are at animal control. We also spay and neuter all of our animals. The adopter is responsible for all vaccinations and medical care after adoption.
