Meet Maxwell: Your New Best Friend!

Hi there, I’m Maxwell! At just about a year old and weighing in around 40 pounds, I’m the perfect mix of playful energy and snuggly affection. My life started off a little rough—I was a stray before being rescued—but I’ve left those tough days behind and am ready to find my forever home!

I can be a little shy when I first meet new people, but give me just a bit of time, and you’ll discover my sweet, affectionate side. Once I warm up, I’m a total love bug who adores cuddling up on the couch and soaking up all the love you have to give.

Don’t let my quiet nature fool you—I’ve got a fun streak too! I love getting the zoomies when I’m outside and going on walks to explore the world. In my foster home, I’m a polite boy who doesn’t bark, but I do enjoy watching the world go by through the window.

One thing’s for sure: I LOVE other dogs! Big or small, I thrive with a canine companion, so I’d be happiest in a home with a furry sibling to play and bond with. Cats are a bit of an unknown for me, but with the right introductions, who knows?

I’m proud to say I’m housebroken and already learning new tricks—I just mastered “sit” and can’t wait to keep learning. I’m eager to make my forever family proud!

Additional adoption info

After meeting the pet, we do a home check, then we do foster to adopt for a week to ensure a good fit the adopters get 2 free training sessions in home after adoption, but trainer comes 1day also. Most of my dogs are on a breed restricted list so house is most likely a requirement, if they are renters I'll need to speak to landlords. Fees for 1yr- senior is 100-200$.

FFHSAZ is on a mission to save as many at risk shelter dogs as possible, rehabilitate them and find forever loving homes for them! We have a group of dedicated volunteers who help break out at risk shelter dogs and find them loving forever homes!
