My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

**If you are interested in being considered for this dog, please be sure to complete an application directly on our website - not through a 3rd party service.*  Cooper is a sweet, energetic boy who’s ready to fill your life with love, laughter, and endless snuggles! This adorable pup was found as a stray and has quickly become a bundle of joy in his foster home. He’s currently learning the ropes of being the perfect companion and is making great progress every day.Cooper is fully potty trained, sleeps well both in a crate and in a cozy dog bed next to his foster family’s bed. He’s a good boy who’s eager to please and is working on perfecting his manners, but he’ll need a family who is willing to continue working with him on basic training and help him reach his full potential.

Coop loves people, and he’s especially fond of other dogs—he would be thrilled to have a canine sibling, though it’s not a must. He’s a social pup who enjoys multiple walks a day and is doing great on a leash. A fenced yard is required , as it would give him a safe space to run, play, and burn off some of his abundant energy.

With his playful, high-energy personality, Cooper will need an active family who can keep up with his energy levels. He’s always up for an adventure but is equally happy to settle down for a good snuggle after a fun day. He’s still getting used to his size and can be a bit clumsy, so we recommend a home with older children who can handle his exuberant nature.

If you're looking for a lovable, energetic, and snuggly pup who will be your loyal companion, Cooper could be the perfect fit for you!

Cooper’s Ideal Home:

  • Active family or individual who can provide daily exercise and mental stimulation
  • Willingness to continue basic training and help him grow into the best dog he can be
  • Home with or without another dog (he’s open to having a sibling!)
  • Older children who can keep up with his playful, clumsy energy
  • Fenced yard is a plus for safe playtime!
Coop's adoption fee is $400 and includes her completed wellness visit, spay, microchip and age appropriate vaccinations.   *HWMAR presents the information in these bios based on our foster observations and any information presented to us regarding prior living conditions, breed specifications. Go meet their pets

Our rescue is foster based, therefore you will need to make an appointment to visit with any of our animals that are available for adoption.
Most of our adoptable animals come from high kill shelters. Occasionally we are given specific breed information on the animals, but more often, we have to make an educated guess as to breed or mixture based on size, color and physical characteristics.
