My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

I have lived with cats.

I am looking for a home with a patient person.

I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.

I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.

I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you.

Flan tolerates attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.

My foster writes: Flan is very sweet, calm, affectionate cat I ever fostered. He loves to go on lap, or cuddle or on top of me all night through when sleeps....
He loves to play. He likes to chase feathery toys, catching mouse toy, going through tunnel tube, carton box etc...
He has kind of glove look like cute big foot with extra pows. His front foot thumbs are not working, just hanging there.

A volunteer writes: I don't know that I can describe how loved I felt as Flan put me in the center of the world for a moment. Talk about perfect. Flan had been trying his best to get my attention all day by hopping on and off his condo cubby in a big attempt to follow me around Adoptions. I offered some snacks and went about my tasks, but I quickly noticed Flan wasn't there for the treats and toys. Adorably, and kind of heart breakingly, all he wanted were some cuddles. Stretching himself into my arms like it was all he ever wanted to do, I learned that Flan's outstandingly affectionate and in his search for cuddles he brings out the cutest kitty moves. I was particularly impressed watching him lower himself into a loaf and spread his paws out wide so that he could lean and stretch into each neck scritch and pet. It was all Flan wanted to do (and me too) because this is a kitty who really just knows how to make friends. Flan has lived with many other cats and while he's been an absolute joy at the Care Center, we know that a forever home is where he belongs.
