This is General Pumpkin reporting for duty, sir! On today`s schedule is breakfast, followed by a mid morning nap. After that is a snuggle with my fav staff buddies. I might play with some toys in the afternoon and you can`t forget about dinner time! I wouldn`t mind hanging out with dog friends if I have some free time. Once you identify some animals you are interested in online, please come down to the appropriate location as soon as possible! We are open from 10am to 6pm, 7 days a week. We close from 1-2pm for quiet time daily. We work on a first come, first serve basis, meaning the first person physically present will be considered first.

Young-Williams Animal Center is the municipal animal shelter for Knox County and the City of Knoxville and is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization serving . We are dedicated to the sheltering and placement of animals and general animal welfare. We are an open-intake facility and care for more than 11,000 annually. Our goal at Young-Williams Animal Center is to find “forever” homes for all our adoptable animals!
