My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Buddy: Your Active, Playful, and Loyal Companion!

Buddy is an 11-month-old Lab/Shepherd mix who is ready to bring joy, energy, and love into your home. This sweet boy is crate-trained and (almost) house-trained, making him an easy addition to any household. Buddy gets along great with other dogs and loves to play, so he would thrive in a home with an active playmate who can keep up with his high energy!

Buddy's playful nature means he loves toys and especially enjoys playing fetch. If you're looking for a dog who can accompany you on hikes, runs, or even road trips, Buddy would be the perfect co-pilot! He has a love for adventure and would be thrilled to explore the world with you by his side.

While Buddy is a friendly and affectionate boy who loves people, he’s also a loyal protector (a trait common in Shepherds). He's great with older kids but hasn't had experience with young children. If you have feline friends, Buddy may want to play with them, so any cats should be dog-savvy and tolerant of his energetic nature.

If you're looking for a dog that loves to play, explore, and protect, Buddy might just be your next best friend!

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ

Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet.

Applications are the first step in the adoption processPlease do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs.

We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. For questions on the adoption process, including fees, please review the Adoption page. If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions.

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.

 Thank you!

Additional adoption info

Filling out an application is the first step. An online application is located on Haven to Home's homepage. Application, references, home visit and adoption fee are required to adopt one of our dogs. Due to the severe overpopulation of dogs in this country Haven to Home believes that responsible pet owners have their pets spayed or neutered. Therefore it is our policy not to adopt our dogs to people who do not have their current animals spayed or neutered unless there is a medical reason. Adoption fees are listed on our website.
