FOR ADOPTION: ALBUS is a handsome 6 month old male looking for a fun forever family. This beautiful flame point boy has very surprisingly been in our care since he was just two days old. He arrived with his mother and three brothers and was lucky enough to be able to grow up in a loving forever home. Albus has seen many families come through the shelter and pick their new furry family members but none have felt exactly right for him yet. This boy is just as beautiful inside as he is outside. He is fantastic with the other cats of all ages, he gets along well with Calm and friendly dogs and he is happy with people of all ages including respectful children. Albus has been indoor only his entire life and he will do very well continuing with that lifestyle. He could also learn To enjoy a secure catio during the warmer months. Albus is neutered and up to date on vaccinations and parasite control. All animals are vet checked before adoption. This usually includes deworming, revolution (for mites and fleas) and vaccinations. Adult animals are all spayed or neutered before adoption and all puppies/kittens are required to be spayed or neutered as soon as they are old enough. Potential adopters must be willing to travel to Smithers to pick up their new pet.
To apply for a pet please complete an adoption application online (www.nwas.ca) or download and return it to NWAS by email (info@nwas.ca) or mail (Box 3064, Smithers, BC, V0J 2N0) if your application is approved we will then set up a meeting.

We are a very small volunteer group that is passionate about helping animals in need.
In addition to rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing pets in need we:
Run a Spay and Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP): We work with Babine Pet Hospital and BV Vet Clinic to provide financial help to individuals and families who cannot afford the full cost of spaying or neutering their pets
Spay and Neuter Education
Humane Animal Education and visits to local schools
Pet health care counselling; training referrals
Complimentary lost and found postings on our website and Facebook page
Provide free feral mousers to responsible farmers upon request
