Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Luka just turned 8 and was adopted at 10 weeks old from the Humane Society in Phoenix, AZ. My ex-boyfriend adopted him while we were in college and he has been fully in my care for 3+ years.
Luka is a lover boy with an animated personality. He ideally needs a home with a yard and another dog, as he won’t ever get sick of pets and playtime. He is well trained and understands numerous commands but does not do well with being alone. He needs a firm handler that can keep him occupied and busy. Luka is energetic but when it’s time to unwind he will sleep 8+ hours with you. He will sleep in his own bed but that means morning cuddles are a requirement. He listens well and is verbally expressive, sometimes it’s like talking (or debating) with a person.
Making the decision to re-home him is the hardest one I‘ve ever had to make. He is such a good boy and impressively intelligent. Unfortunately I have to finally accept that I have neither the time nor the means to continue to care for him.
