My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Poppy!

Poppy is a 9 year old female purebred Aussie - She along with 6 others came from a breeder who recently shut down.
While she is 9 years old she is a healthy girl that is still has a good spring in her step!

**She is dog friendly but she does best with other dogs that give her space and time to get used to them. Once she comes out of her shell she starts to get more playful though she is still figuring out how to play.

**While she is still very shy, she still does well with people and comes out of her shell after being given some time to decompress and get used to new people and spaces. When she gets excited she does the classic Aussie butt wiggles that are so cute!

**She is house trained and crate trained. She loves her crate so much, it is her safe place

**She prefers to go for walks with another dog otherwise she is still working through leash guidance. Another dog in the home would be great for her to help her come out of her shell more

Comes with 2 free dog training sessions and fully vetted

More about this rescue

“A Dog Rescue Doing More than Dog Rescue”
We are a young rescue (3rd year anniversary in Jan 2023), but we are here to lead the way of what rescue actually means and set the standard so others can follow.

We are doing more than just rescuing the dog.
We hold monthly group training classes for the community (yes, even those without rescue dogs).

We provide free training for our foster families.
We provide free training for our adoptive families.
We are doing more than just rescuing the dog, we are changing the pattern of surrendering by providing knowledge and education through our community.
It seems like a simple thought of course, but one that many rescue groups do not follow.
