My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Beacon is a sweet, adorable tabby girl who came into our care under truly sad circumstances: her former caretakers tossed her into a Petsmart in Brooklyn with her paws all taped up with packing tape. We don't know why that happened, but we immediately cleaned her up and found out she's a little trouper! Beacon is now thriving in her foster home with her best friend and "brother" Spongebob (listed separately) and she's back to being a typical happy, playful kitten! Beacon is fearless except when it comes to cages. Though she doesn't mind a carrier, she hates being in a cage - we think she may have been poked at in a cage before she came to us.

Beacon is about 8 months old and healthy. She is spayed, microchipped, has tested FIV-/Felv-, is up to date on vaccines, was treated for parasites and is ready for a wonderful furrever home with her foster brother, SpongeBob (listed separately) or to a home with another young kitty playmate.

Additional adoption info

Interested adopters first fill out an adoption application, after which they can visit our animals in their foster homes. If they would like to adopt and their application is approved, they then complete an adoption contract. We also ask for an adoption fee to help us continue our work.

We hold Saturday adoption events at Unleashed by Petco in Park Slope and Petsmart on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn (check our website and Facebook page for more information) and have cats at Bushy Tails pet store in Bushwick and Petsmart.
