Why I need a new home

Found or abandoned

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This magnificent Akita was an abandoned stray in our neighborhood who we have taken in, nurtured, and helped recover back to full health.

He is a wonderful, sweet and loving dog with a great personality - eager to please and very trainable. Gets along quite well with the smaller dog we already had. Calm and intelligent.

Still quite young (around 18 months) with some puppy traits.

He just happens to be quite a large animal (100+ pounds). For some, this will be exactly what they are looking for. He needs the right family and situation to be able to stretch his legs and get the attention and activity he deserves.

He has won our hearts - but with an imminent downsizing coming for us, we simply cannot keep him long term.

All shots up to date, with recent vet exams, and will pay for neutering if new owner would prefer that.

Thank you for looking, and we hope to find an amazing new home for this great dog! He really deserves it.
