Zazu might be the TINIEST puppy we've ever had, but she is also full of spirit and spunk! Zazu was born with a cleft lip and cleft soft palate, which meant that she could not nurse properly. She landed in the hands of our amazing neonatal specialist who has helped her grow and thrive and now Zazu is ready to find her forever home! Applicants do need to be aware that because of her cleft issues, she will have some accommodations in terms of food--her amazing foster mom can tell you all about what Zazu needs! She has been doing well with eating and drinking on her own, but may need a few easy accommodations as she grows up. Zazu will remain a small pup: we expect her to be somewhere around 8-10 pounds fully grown. But in that little body is TONS of personality. Zazu lives in a house with other (much bigger) dogs, she loves to play, and she has a real "spice" for life. You can't help but laugh as you watch her bounce around. In addition to her medical accommodations, adopters also need to be ready for the time and dedication it takes to train a puppy this age and to ensure that Zazu gets plenty of socialization with people and dogs so that she grows up to be a happy, well-trained, well-rounded dog.
