Flora is a one-year-old terrier mix who was rescued while wandering the streets in the rain, full of energy and playfulness. She loves her walks and is friendly with both people and animals, although she's still getting used to loud or large trucks. Having been fostered with cats, Flora knows how to respect them as long as they stand their ground. She would thrive in a home with another active dog or older children who can keep up with her energetic nature. Although housetrained, Flora is still a young puppy and needs regular walks to prevent accidents, making her the perfect fit for an active family ready to offer her love and attention.

Our adoption requirements are as follows:

We encourage that all members of the family come and visit with the animal (especially children). We do not adopt pets as gifts.

Homes that currently own one or more dogs and are looking for another will have to complete a dog meeting to ascertain compatibility.

More about this shelter

At Darbster Rescue, our goal is to place kittens, cats, and dogs with great, forever homes in New England. The pets are primarily from South Florida and other southern states where the euthanasia rates are very high. Our shelters are in New Hampshire which has a strong demand for pets relative to supply and where shelters like ours are strictly no kill operations. Our animals will go to their new homes spayed or neutered, UTD on shots and a clean bill of health from FL and NH. We are here to help everyone look for the perfect match for themselves and their family.
