My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Maio. This gorgeous boy was surrendered by his owner because they did not have the time or space for him to run off all of his energy. He is the sweetest boy who gives lots of kisses, and is friendly with everyone he meets. He loves to run and play tug of war. Maio will need an active family to keep him busy and tire him out. He would love to go on long walks with you and meet all your neighbors.

Why not complete an application and schedule an appointment to meet this fun- loving guy today?

More about this rescue

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
