Hi, I’m Gunner!

I’m a handsome 2-year-old shepherd/ Great Pyrenees/ mix, and although I’ve had a rough start, I’m ready for my second chance at happiness. My last family moved away and left me behind, tied to a porch, where I stayed for two weeks before being rescued. Since then, I’ve been living my best life with my foster mom.My foster mom says I’m the sweetest pup she’s ever had! I’m calm, quiet, and have excellent house manners. I’m potty trained, I walk great on a leash, and I’m just about the best snuggler you’ll ever meet. Belly rubs are my absolute favorite, and I’ll do anything for one!

While I love spending time inside with my people, I’m also a big fan of outdoor playtime. My foster mom thinks I probably lived outside before, since I could happily spend hours running around her yard and laying on the porch. Because of this, I would do best with a home that has a fenced-in yard where I can safely run and play.I get along great with other dogs and kids, and I’m ready to find a forever home where I can receive the love and attention I deserve. Could that be with you?

We place the dogs in the best home not the first home. Please be patient while we go over all apps and we will be in touch.

We are foster based. You must apply on Crossyourpaws.com first. If your application is chosen as the best fit for the dog we will move forward with the approval process. Once approved you will be setup with a time to meet the dog. Our dogs are all over the greater Pittsburgh area.

Our decision to start a rescue is not one that we have taken lightly, it has come after years of volunteer work with other groups. Our goal is to make this world a place where starving, abused animals is a thing of the past. That shelters filled with dogs and cats waiting to be euthanized is unheard of. We want euthanasia to be something to help pets on their way to the Rainbow bridge not to end lives because of overpopulation. We vow to save every life that we can.
