Meet Pablo! We were told he is a Shorkie (Shih Tzu/Yorkie mix), but we have no way of knowing if this is accurate since we have not done a DNA test on him. He is from a commercial breeder. He is currently about 5.82 pounds.
Pablo is a very cute little guy. He is around 16 weeks old. He is doing very well with his potty training. He whines/barks or just stands by the door to be let out. Although it’s been cold outside, we have had him outside for some chasing/running activities, which he seems to enjoy. Therefore, Pablo would do best in a home with a fenced in yard. He loves his toys and can play fetch for hours with a willing participant. He is working with being on a leash. Pablo is a lap dog and a snuggler. He loves to be near or on top of his person. He prefers to sleep in bed with his person and will be touching them all night, often draping himself over their neck and falling fast asleep, for most of the night, or until their person has to shift ; ) If he gets restless, that is his cue for a potty outing. He does his business and gets right back to his spot on the bed for more sleep. He does experience separation anxiety, as most puppies do. Pablo has been around kids and does well. Being a puppy, he nips quite a bit, something to consider with younger children. Pablo does like to engage with other dogs. Dogs who are tolerant of puppy behavior would be a good match. Recently Pablo did something that was extremely remarkable. We have three water bowls in the house, but he prefers to drink out of just one. He went to his bowl and although we didn’t know, it was out of water. Pablo, picked up the bowl and walked it over to me and waited with it in his mouth. He is smart and helpful! And did I mention cute?!
Pablo does have a negative fecal test, is neutered, microchipped, and is current on age appropriate vaccines.
