Hello! My name is Pogeun, and I’m a 1-year-and-6-month-old female Retriever-Jindo mix, weighing a petite 12 kg (26 lbs). With my compact and adorable frame, I bring together the best of both breeds—Retriever energy and Jindo gentleness!
I’m a people-loving pup with a heart full of affection and a playful personality. I’ll happily approach strangers, especially if they have treats! Once I get to know you, I’m all about cuddles and belly rubs—I just love being loved! Sometimes I get a bit too excited and might jump up to greet you, but with gentle body blocking, I’m learning to keep my paws on the ground.
I’m a smart cookie and already know basic commands like “sit” and “wait.” My intelligence and eagerness to please make me a quick learner, and I’m sure to thrive with consistent training and plenty of positive reinforcement.
When it comes to other dogs, I’m a friendly and social companion. I avoid conflict and even share treats with my friends—it’s just my nature! I enjoy walks at a leisurely pace, always keeping an eye on my human. I’m not scared of passing cars and confidently follow along during our outdoor adventures.
Like any young pup, I’m full of energy and love to play! I’d be happiest in a home where I can enjoy plenty of exercise, whether it’s running around in a park or playing fetch in a yard. After some fun and games, I settle down peacefully, ready to relax with my favorite humans.
While I’m ready to bring love and joy into your life, I might need a little time to adjust if I move to a completely new environment, like overseas. Patience and understanding will help me feel safe and secure as I settle in.

Most of our dogs are in South Korea and they will fly to North Carolina if they finds a foster home or adopter, and the adopter will meet the dog at the airport.

We are against the slaughter and consumption of dogs in Korea.
In Korea, there are many dogs that are kept in overcrowded cages in dog-meat facilities. They are sent to the market after being tortured to death. Although the consumption of dog meat is increasingly controversial and the vast majority of younger generations do not believe in dog meat, there are still many dogs that need to be rescued from farms and streets on which they have been abandoned/mistreated by humans.
We are committed to finding forever homes for dogs in Canada.
