MEET RUTH!!

Ruth is an energetic and intelligent girl! Her favorite things in the world are going on hikes/runs, playing fetch and pup cups. She is so bright and knows plenty of tricks and is ready to learn more. Ruth is super tolerant and absolutely loves people. She does best when introduced to people in places she feels safe, like her home. She is unsure around cats and other dogs, so it is recommended that proper socialization and slow introductions. She has shown reactivity on a leash especially around other dogs. It is also recommended that she is an only dog or is adopted by someone with experience in this situation. Ruth is one smart and sweet cookie! Her goofy personality and energetic nature is sure to win anyone over, and she is more than ready for a forever home. Meet Ruth today!

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters will be required to complete our Adoption Application, read and sign our Adopting Policies and Procedures, and participate in a home visit by one of our adoption representatives. Our Adoption Application is located on our website: www.underdogaz.com.

We also have a mandatory two-week Foster With Intent to Adopt trial period for all animals in order to be certain the pet is a good fit for your family.

Our standard adoption fee for dogs is $200; puppies are $250.

Non-standard fees do sometimes apply. Puppies younger than six months may have a higher fee. Designer dogs, purebreds, and other toy type breeds may also have higher adoption fees than the standard $200.

We do, however, have discounted fees for dogs that are seniors, a pair of dogs adopted together, or cats. If you are a veteran or an active duty service member, please ask about our partnership with Pets For Patriots.

All Underdog pets are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped prior to adoption.

We are a 501c3 non profit, your donations save lives and are 100% tax deductible.

More about this rescue

Underdog Rescue of Az is an all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescuing and re-homing of abandoned and/or abused dogs.

We are a foster-based rescue, and do not maintain a physical base of operations. All of our animals are placed with loving, caring safe foster families until they are adopted. We are also an "All Breed" rescue, and do not discriminate based on breed, age, size, etc.

Underdog's mission also includes educating the public on the issue of animal welfare. We strive to promote shelter reform, spay and neuter education and emergency rescue information & assistance.
