My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Solo is a 2-year old Yorkie and Chihuahua mix. He weighs about 4-5 lbs. We got him as a new puppy in 2022 as a surprise for our son. We have a large breed, and he’s always wanted a small dog. Solo is a good dog for the most part. He gets along with our other dog. He behaves around our 1-year old. However, he is skittish around strangers. He also is not completely potty trained. He is trained to go outside, but he will potty in the house if given the opportunity to roam freely without supervision. He barks outside quite a bit but not inside, which has been a nice surprise for a small dog.
We are rehoming him because he takes more care than we can give with an old adult large breed and our active daily schedules. Solo is cage trained, and spends much of his time outside or in the cage. We are looking for a family who will be able to spend time with Solo and include him in their family activities and find joy with him and he with them.
