Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lillie is a real sweetheart that was surrendered with two other dogs to a shelter in the south and she was rescued off the euthanasia list just in time to save her life. She will be coming north on transport in mid December and, pending how she settles in, may be ready for adoption in early 2025! Her foster in Texas (where she is presently until mid December) says she is very calm, gentle and still learning about the world around her as she must have had a rough life prior to being surrendered. She has gotten along with other non-aggressive dogs of her own size (medium size) but does not like dogs that play rough or try to dominate her. She gets along well with cats and is learning to walk on a leash and interact with strangers as she gains more confidence and realizes the world can be a happy place. She would be best in a home with older children that are most predictable and calm. She will need someone willing to give her the time and reassurance she needs to blossom into a confident dog. She is not yet used to and so far does not like car rides as they are a bit scary for her though in time that could change. She is not at all destructive, does not chew on stuff other than her chewable toys and bones and is just happy to be near her person for love and reassurance. A very sweet, eager to please, low-maintenance girl, she will make someone a wonderful companion !
