MEET Avery!

Avery would really benefit from some time to socialize with a confident and friendly older cat, away from his brothers. He’s still a bit nervous and fearful at times, but we’re hopeful that with a little more patience, he’ll come out of his shell.
Once he started feeling more at ease, he stopped hiding as much. He still likes to keep a safe distance, but he’ll happily approach for treats, enjoy his wet food from a spoon, or join in a game with a dangling toy. He’s not quite ready to engage with us just yet, but that’s okay! As he becomes more comfortable, we’ve noticed him hissing and growling a bit when we get too close, which is just his way of setting boundaries.
Avery absolutely adores our cat and loves to rub against him, and that’s when we’ve managed to sneak in a quick pet on his back. It`s delightful to see him more relaxed and confident when our older cat is around!
He gets engaged when we bring out a dangling toy—he’s super quick and loves to play! Sometimes he enjoys treats too and will take them from us if we hold them out, although he doesn’t always do it consistently. We’re excited to watch him continue to grow and feel more comfortable!
