Kirby (formerly Kip) was returned to PAWS because he really wants to be an only dog. He plays well with other dogs until he gets attached to his humans and then he decides he wants all of the attention. He is a great little dog for a quiet home with no other pets or small children with whom he has to compete for attention. He loves his toys and is extremely smart and catches on to new things quickly. His previous mom reported that he caught on to house training after just three days and adapted quickly to his new home. He is believed to have been born around June 25, 2016 and weighs just under 10 lbs. He is most likely chihuahua or possibly chihuahua/rat terrier mix. He is very happy go lucky and loves to play with toys or his people. Please consider this boy if you are a one dog family. He will make you smile and give you more love than you ever thought possible. His adoption fee is $250 and he is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, HW negative and has a Proheart 12 shot good until November, 2025. Once we receive the application, we will process it and call you if approved to set up a meet and greet.

Meet the Pet
If we feel you are a good match, we will complete the Adoption Contract,review with you, and collect the adoption fee.

Take the Pet Home
Then we will send you and your new family member home!

Dogs: The adoption fees for PAWS puppies and dogs start at $200. Occasionally, the adoption fee will be higher and, if that is the case, it will be noted on the animal's profile. When you adopt your new dog or puppy, it will be spayed or neutered, wormed, micro-chipped, and up to date on routine shots. If it is six months or older, it will have been tested for heartworms and placed on a heartworm preventative.
Cats: The adoption fee for most PAWS kittens and cats is $75. When you adopt your new cat or kitten, it will be spayed or neutered, wormed, micro-chipped, and up to date on its shots, with the exception of its rabies shot, which must be given by a vet. IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO ADOPT A CAT OR KITTEN, BE SURE TO BRING A CARRIER OR PET TAXI WITH YOU. WE CANNOT SEND A CAT/KITTEN HOME UNLESS IT IS IN A CARRIER/PET TAXI.
We certainly recommend that you continue your pet's routine vaccination regimen with your veterinarian.
SAME DAY ADOPTIONS ARE NOT ALWAYS POSSIBLE, SO IF YOU ARE DRIVING FROM A DISTANCE, PLEASE MAKE ADVANCE ARRANGEMENTS.
IF YOU RENT, YOU MUST BRING A SIGNED RENTAL AGREEMENT FROM YOUR LANDLORD STATING THAT IT IS OKAY FOR YOU TO HAVE AN ANIMAL IN THE HOUSE. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A RENTAL AGREEMENT, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TAKE THE COMPANION ANIMAL OF YOUR CHOICE HOME WITH YOU.
