My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
This pet was brought in by a community member on September 29, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Eleven, gorgeous dog with a zest for life that's truly contagious. He's always eager for a game of fetch or a brisk walk. His playful nature is a joy to behold, making every day an adventure. Eleven's been on multiple events in the community, including K9 Adventures with volunteers, a media event at the San Diego County Fair, and he's a Dog Day Out candidate for community members to spend a few hours with him. He's great on leash and does not seem to pay much attention to other dogs nearby.
Eleven likes to lean in for pets and is very affectionate. Adopt Eleven and experience the joy of a faithful companion who will fill your life with playfulness and companionship!

At SDHS:
This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
