Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Ellie is a 1 year old female who was surrendered to MAGDRL with her six puppies. Ellie is a black female with natural ears who has really blossomed in her foster home. She came in extremely thin, having had puppies when she was still a pup herself, but is filling out nicely now. She is a joy to have, and simply exudes joy to be with her people! When anyone comes in the door, she is so joyful to see that new person, and wags her tail so hard her entire body moves! She has the potential to have "happy tail" so this must be watched. She believes she is a lap dog and will back up and take advantage of any available lap to rest on.
Ellie is currently living on a horse farm with 3 Great Dane brothers, and gets along well with them for the most part. Occasionally she needs reminding she is not the boss of them, and that she has to coexist with them. Ellie can be very stubborn to redirect when she's being corrected. While she does have basic obedience, Ellie will be adopted with a training requirement.
Ellie loves to be included in whatever activities might come her way. She is a barker that alerts her family of the horses coming near the fence, or a client walking in the field to see their horse. Ellie also learned quickly how to open the door of the foster home's home. This is within the fence, but that's how smart she is and care must be taken in her new home to make sure she is not able to open exterior doors and escape.
Ellie is incredibly sweet, but due to her joy, should probably go to a family with older children. Ellie loves eating, and is a big fan of cheese!
