My story

Hi! My name is Polly. I am a 2 year old, female, Australian Shepherd/Red Heeler mix weighing 36 Lbs. I was found off Horizon Road near Heath Crossing on 12/06/2024 and brought to the shelter on 12/07/2024. Sadly, my owners never came for me and now I am available for adoption. I am a super sweet girl who has a shy yet curious demeanor. Once you give me a chance to warm up, I am a bouncy girl, excited to find my furr ever family! RAC staff isn't sure how I will do with cats but if you have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is encouraged prior to adoption. My adoption fee is $125. I am spayed, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination, boosters to date and heartworm negative. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense.

Dogs are tested for heartworms (if old enough), spayed/neutered, microchipped, given DHLP-P and rabies shots and given a dewormer for an adoption fee of $125.

Cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, given FVRCP-PN and rabies shots and given a dewormer for an adoption fee of $75.
