Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Perfect pink nose. Pretty pink toe beans. Eyeliner on fleek. Ombré ears and urban camo coat, paired with long, sleek white gloves. Very lady-like, very demure. Looooong and graceful tail with a GINGER TIPPY TIP! This baby girl is so much fun! Part meerkat, part Jack Russell terrier, she’s super chatty. She’ll hold a perfectly sweet and civilized conversation with you one minute, and then race off at high speed with a soft toy, stopping in every room to murder it with full-volume sound effects. Her motto in life is ‘Parkour!’ And Cuddles’. When she first arrived at AWLA she was terrified, and it took several days before she was brave enough to leave her carrier. Over the past few weeks, in a calm home with a steady routine and lots of space to be herself, she’s blossomed into a real smoocher and lap cat. But she is only 7 months old and can still be a little skittish. That said, at least half the time she runs away when something startles her now is because she loves to take corners in 4WD mode… vrrrrooooom! Ginger loves cat trees and scratching towers, puzzle toys, and little soft and crinkly toys that she can gleefully disembowel, growling like an alpha dawg the entire time. She’s an avid sportsfan, and A-Grade lap warmer. She is one of those smart kitties that could probably be taught some tricks, like fetching or giving high-fives. She loves cat caves and has become especially skilled at stealthily creeping under the bedcovers, making just the teeniest bump (don’t sit down without checking!), and settle in for a warm and cosy snooze. Though if you talk to the bump, she will give herself away and talk back! She eats wet and dry food, and has good toilet habits, although she’s just as enthusiastic in this as in everything else she does, so a high-sided litterbox will help reduce litter tracking. She adores being cuddled and petted, but she is not comfortable yet with being picked up. Because she has an exuberant personality, she can occasionally be a little mouthy, or forget to velvet her claws, so she is best suited to a home with adults or families with older teens. She has not been tested with other cats or dogs, but with her energy levels, Ginger might well enjoy having a playmate who enjoys a bit of wrestling and chasing action. She still sleeps quietly for long stretches, so has been a wonderful work-from-home companion.
