My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mumford, a gentle old soul with a heart full of love, ready to share his golden years with a family who will appreciate his calm and quiet nature. At 9 years old, Mumford may be a little slower than he once was, but he’s filled with a warmth and kindness that makes him the perfect companion for someone seeking a steady, affectionate friend.

Mumford has spent much of his life with a serene heart, and now he’s looking for a special home where he can be the center of attention and enjoy his well-earned rest. He’s not just an old dog; he’s a wise soul who knows the value of simple moments—whether that’s basking in the sun, curled up on a cozy bed, or enjoying a slow walk with his favorite person.

Due to his age and past experiences, Mumford would do best in a home where he is the only pet and there are no children. He prefers a quieter environment where he can receive all the love and care he deserves without the hustle and bustle of other animals or young ones.

Mumford may be an older dog, but he has so much love left to give. His heart is wide open, and all he needs is a kind soul to help him live out his golden years in comfort. If you’re looking for a calm, loyal, and loving companion, Mumford might just be the perfect fit for you. Come meet this sweet boy, and let him show you the true meaning of unconditional love.

Additional adoption info

Find the pet for you at the Adoption Center:
Angels of Assisi’s adoption center is open from 12-6pm, 7 days a week. Adoption Specialists and Volunteer Ambassadors are eager to help you find the pet that would fit best in your family.

Adoptable Pets in Foster Homes:
Some of our available pets are currently in foster homes. If an animal is currently in a foster home, it is noted in the animal's biography online. To meet a pet in foster care, please fill out a non-binding adoption application, and the foster parent will contact you to schedule a meet and greet once the application has been approved (generally within 24 hours).

Found the perfect addition to your family? Now what?
The next step is to fill out an adoption application. You can complete and application online (preferred) or stop by the adoption center to fill out a paper application. Adopters must be 18 years of age or older. If you rent your home, we will need to contact your landlord or see a copy of your lease to verify the pet policy. Most applications can be approved within 24-48 hours.

Taking Your New Pet Home
After paying the adoption fee and pending the approval of your application, you may take your new pet home immediately. Adoption fees may vary and can be found on our website at:
