Here is JACK, a bundle of love and energy!
He thrives in the company of others and would do wonderfully in a home with another dog, as he plays great with his foster Cavachon sibling, who’s twice his size. Having a gentle, playful companion would definitely make him happy. He would do best with someone who works from home, is a stay-at-home parent, or is retired since he doesn’t enjoy being left in his crate for long periods. While the crate is used when his foster family isn’t home, he much prefers to be out, spending time with his people and doggy friends. He’s an affectionate boy who loves to play catch, nap, cuddle, and soak up belly rubs. He’s crate-trained and making excellent progress with leash walking. Potty training is also coming along nicely—as long as you’re attentive to his cues (like whining, sniffing, or circling) and take him out promptly, he won’t have accidents in the house. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and cuddly companion who loves both people and other dogs, this little one might just be your perfect match!
Please Note:

More about this rescue
Somerset Cottage Poodle Rescue, established in 2013, is an all volunteer 501c(3) dog rescue funded by your donations. We rescue companion and senior dogs, at risk for euthanasia, from overcrowded shelters and provide them with the medical attention they need. We also redone dogs for owners who can no longer care for them. We do not have a facility so all of our dogs live in foster homes through out the Northern Virginia area until their adoption day. We are proud that we find them perfectly matched forever homes and families. We rescue and find permanent homes for approximately 250 dogs a year.
