My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Miranda is a dignified 10-year-old senior cat with a sleek ebony coat, whose life recently underwent a dramatic change after her owner passed away. With limited information on her past, it's clear that Miranda now seeks a tranquil home with cat-savvy individuals who understand her need for time and patience. Currently, she is quite timid and uncertain about being touched, preferring to engage with her environment in her own way. She finds joy in watching bird videos, batting at wand toys, and luxuriating in catnip. Though she may be reserved in showing affection, Miranda would greatly benefit from a peaceful and stable environment where she can gradually open up and find comfort in her new surroundings.

More about this shelter

Mission:
Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester, works together with our community better the lives of animals through justice, prevention, and life-saving care.

Vision: A just and compassionate world for all animals.

Lollypop Farm is not your typical animal welfare organization. We don’t classify ourselves as merely a shelter, simply taking in and rehoming pets. Rather, we are your partner. We’ll work with you to build a just and compassionate world for all animals–to save animals from abuse and suffering, to find a resource to keep your pet, to guide you in adopting a new pet, to make the tough decision to say goodbye to your family friend or to share information on how to help animals in your daily life.
