Pee Wee lab mix & Jessie coonhound mix (?)
We had a death in our family and need help finding a new loving home for these two very special girls. They will be great companions for a single adult, couple, or a family (with older children).
Ideally, they could stay together, but we believe they could also acclimate well solo. They are both very empathetic and respond to the emotions of their family. They love head scratches and snuggling on the couch. If you let them, they will sleep in your bed, but they are also good listeners and will stay off the bed if you tell them and redirect them to their beds.
They would get along with other playful dogs their size, but smaller dogs or cats could be problematic.
Both girls were adopted in 2018 from Longmont Humane Society and were presumed to be sisters and 4-years-old at the time, making them roughly 10 years old now. Neither has a history of significant or chronic illness. They have both tested negative at their annual heartworm testing. They are both microchipped.
Daily, they are both taking: Fortiflora probiotic, doggie Advil, Fish Oil, and Glucosamine, of which we have a good supply to provide. They also do preventative heartworm medication monthly.
Their previous vet and all the techs LOVE these dogs and they are willing to spend time with the new owners to give them any insight into acclimating them to their new environment. They said, given the chance, we are confident they will find happiness again and take very well to a new home and new owners.
