My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mayzie

At just 1 year old, this 35-pound scruffy pittie mix has already faced more challenges than most dogs her age. Shy and timid, she's still learning that the world isn't so scary-and she's making amazing progress every day. Beneath her nervous exterior is a deeply affectionate pup who adores being close to her people. She'll happily curl up next to you or snooze peacefully in her crate, her safe haven.

Completely potty trained, she's working on building her confidence during leash walks. She's a bit nervous in new environments, so a fenced-in yard would be ideal for her to safely explore at her own pace. A calm, confident doggie friend would also be a great guide for her as she adjusts to her new life.

After becoming a mom while still a puppy herself, she's ready to make up for lost time and experience all the things she missed. She's looking for a patient, understanding family who will give her the love and support she needs to grow into the confident, happy dog we know she can be. If you have a calm home and a soft spot for underdogs, she's ready to steal your heart.
